Tranquil Lift Chair Recliner - Black Leather-Like

This is a good looking chair! I purchased this for my husband who has recently developed serious mobility issues and needed something comfortable and easy to get out of as our stationary furniture just wasn’t working for him. Not only is it attractive and amazingly comfortable, it’s extremely functional. Super quiet and smooth when using the power controls – you can’t even hear it. It reclines fully and also lifts much higher than shown in the photo’s provided on the sales page. It’s very heavy and seems to be well constructed with a lot of metal reinforcement. The fabric is really nice too…sure looks like leather but actually feels better as it’s much softer and not sticky like vinyl. The color is good and fairly true to the photos shown.

I bought this for my 6'2", 78 year old husband for Christmas because he had trouble getting in and out of chairs due to double knee replacements. He was scheduled for surgery in January, which could further impede his ability get out of the chair he spend all of his waking hours in, so after looking at many recliners and reading a lot of customer reviews, I felt this chair would be a good solution.

I went to the Ultramatic store for something else last year, and ended up falling in love with this chair. The recliner itself is wonderful. I'm short (under 5 feet) and it fits me just fine. What sets this apart from other recliners is the fact that the electronic controls allow you to manipulate the head and feet independently. Most recliners force your feet up when your head goes back. This one doesn't. Also, it reclines completely back, flat like a bed, and is very comfortable. It was easy to assemble and fit through a regular bedroom doorway.
